Lifestyle family photography for stunning, joy-filled, "this feels like us" galleries.

This time in your life deserves to be captured by something other than your iPhone. Family sessions don't have to be stiff and stuffy, they can be relaxed and fun!

Whether you're looking for laid-back, documentary style photos of your family and all of its (beautifully) chaotic glory or just a handful posed-ish images for that Christmas card, we'll work together to create the perfect session experience.

So let's plan a day, pick a location that is meaningful to you and create a slew of images that will fill up the frames your walls for years to come.

Vanessa is THE BEST! She captured our little family so perfectly. We have a one year old and she did so well with him and also captured all of his personally in each photo. I will be recommending her to all of our friends!

Family portraits are an ever-evolving art form, and sessions styles aren't always a one-size-fits-all. Let's break down CLASSIC and ADVENTURE sessions:

CLASSIC sessions take less time, are more (but not completely) posed, and are usually done in a nature-y outdoor location or in a studio space.

ADVENTURE sessions are slow-flow, have a documentary feel, and we focus on emotions and real-life moments at a location that feels meaningful to you.

Don't worry! I'm really good at guiding you into poses that look natural. This includes when and when not to look at the camera, what to do with your hands, and even prompts to help you engage with your family in a silly way.

As for the kids - if they get the zoomies in the middle of the session, they are normal! That's standard, and we roll with it. I get the more posed stuff done first, then we just play, cuddle, wiggle, and move around. I really love engaging with the kids and I usually end up with a few new besties by the end of it all.

What if we're awkward and my kids don't sit still?

Neutrals, blues, and greens jive best with. my editing style. Does that mean other colors are off the table? No way - wear what makes you happy!

There is a space on the questionnaire to indicate if you'd like help with outfit planning - I'm happy to give personalized advice!

What should we wear?

The sooner the better! My weekends tend to fill up pretty quickly - especially during the spring and fall, so the sooner you reach out, the more likely you are to get your desired date!

To reserve your date, I'll need a contract as well as a deposit. And if something comes up and you need to change your date, just let me know!

A:

How far in advance should we book?

q:

If it looks like it's going to rain, snow, hail or some other weather catastrophe, we'll be in touch via email or text to reschedule.

Questions

How do extended family sessions work?

q:

A:

Typically, one family member acts as the middleman, signing contracts, making payments, and getting the date arranged between the family and myself. My weekends fill up pretty quickly, so if you know you'll be together months ahead of time, don't wait to reach out. I turn down extended family sessions more than any other session type simply because finding a date that works for everyone can be so difficult.
