Baby Fletcher | Northwest Indiana Newborn Photographer

Vanessa Stoller

A quiet and cozy in home newborn session with a Northwest Indiana photographer.

All of my clients are very dear to me, and I feel a very special connection to all of my sessions. But this particular one was extra dear and special because Fletcher's dad, Jason, is a cousin. But beyond that, Jason and his wife Jessica are deep, thoughtful, and wonderful humans who love the people around them really, really well. As life goes, I don't get to see these cousins of mine often, so I was over the moon when they reached out to see if I would be able to make the trip to them to take Fletcher's newborn photos. It was the easiest "yes" all year!

Fletcher has the most handsome black hair and the cutest little button nose, such an adorable little newborn! I really loved the cozy nursery space that Jessica had set up in their bedroom. It went really well with the charm of their older, downtown home in South Bend.

As a Northwest Indiana newborn photographer, it's important for me to make sure I deliver photos that clients will be excited about for years, and that means listening to my clients' thoughts and hopes for the session. One of the questions on the questionnaire that I send families before a session asks, "When you think of your session, what's the most important thing to you?" I loved Jessica's answer:

"To get an overall sense of what our life is like with baby in the context of our home. Connection/interaction with baby and parents - individually and together. Tiny details of baby, like those tiny fingers and toes! Photos of nursery so we can remember what it looks like!"

With that thoughtful answer as our vision and goal, the session went so smoothly as Jason and Jessica trusted my vision and we captured some beautiful images in the cozy comfort of their home!
