The Aschlimans | A Sentimental Family Photo Session

Moving can be hard, especially when your home contains so many special memories and moments for your family. This family was feeling really emotional about leaving the home that was so sentimental to them, and they asked me to come do a special “moving” photoshoot. Photos in spaces and places that have emotional ties for my clients are my dream kinds of sessions, so of course I agreed!

Before I arrived, they made a special note of all of the rooms and meaningful places around the house they wanted me to capture. We slowly moved room to room as the kids showed me their favorite spots and we took lots of photos of them just living life. The boys’ bedrooms where dad snuggled them each night with silly stories. The nursery where the rocking chair held many memories of warm snuggles and reading books. The little nook in the bedroom that provided a haven for mom’s quiet time. Prayer time at the dinner table, sillies in the kitchen, basement antics…the home held so many precious places.

Moving or not, a photoshoot in all of the special places in your home is something that will be treasured forever.
