There’s something special about a family photo session at Purdue University. The iconic campus provides beautiful architecture, meaningful locations, and plenty of room for families to simply enjoy being together. That’s exactly what made this adventure session with this wonderful family so memorable.

When this family booked an Adventure Session with Vanessa Stoller Photography, they knew they wanted more than perfectly posed portraits. We started with a few classic family poses to capture everyone looking at the camera, but their main goal was to document their family just as they are—full of movement, laughter, and genuine connection.

Our evening began in front of the stunning Hovde Hall, one of Purdue’s most recognizable landmarks. After capturing a few portraits, we wandered across campus toward the Bell Tower, letting the boys explore along the way. Instead of asking everyone to stand still, Mom and Dad embraced the moment by chasing, tickling, laughing, and simply playing with their two boys.

Those in-between moments are often the ones families treasure the most.

As we continued our walk, the boys’ personalities really began to shine. They ran hand in hand with their parents, shared silly giggles, and enjoyed every minute of exploring Purdue’s beautiful campus together. We wrapped up this family photo session at Purdue University with one of the most fun locations on campus—the Engineering Fountain. There was no better way to end an adventure session than letting the boys splash, play, and cool off while Mom and Dad joined in the fun. Some of the biggest laughs of the evening happened with everyone getting a little wet, and those carefree moments created photographs that truly reflect this family’s joy.
